In The Studio

Sherry is currently creating pieces for an immersive “Deep Space” installation from upcycled upholstery factory waste, reclaimed tabletops and unknown found fibers.

By repurposing discarded materials, Davis highlights the excesses of our throwaway culture. Her work embodies a narrative of redemption and renewal through the transformative potential of often overlooked and undervalued materials.

This project will include numerous forms positioned as if crashing through walls and floors -- a bombardment of galactic waste through time and space. As anthropocenic hybrids, they offer a profound commentary on the interconnectedness of all things and the environmental impact of our actions -- and posit a future where such hybrids are commonplace.
